How Does The Glass Work?

The Aluflam AF91 Automatic Fire Rated Sliding Door can incorporate a range of fire-resistant glazing options, selected according to the required Fire Resistance Level (FRL), application and project specifications.

Available glazing options include Pyrobel and Pyrostop fire-resistant glass systems, with configurations providing fire integrity and insulation performance of up to –/60/60.

Recommended glazing options include:

  • Pyrobel 16: FRL –/60/– up to –/60/30.

  • Pyrobel 25: FRL –/60/– up to –/60/60.

  • Pyrobel 25EG: FRL –/60/– up to –/60/60.

  • Contraflam 120 ClimaPlus IGU: FRL up to –/60/15, subject to the specified configuration.

  • Pyrostop 60 101 FRL: FRL –/60/– up to –/60/60.

  • Pyrostop 60 201 DGU FRL: FRL up to –/60/60.

Fire-resistant glazing is designed to help maintain fire compartmentation by resisting the passage of flames and hot gases. Insulating glazing configurations also help limit heat transfer during a fire.

The appropriate glazing system must be selected in accordance with the required FRL, tested assembly and project-specific performance requirements.

For the complete range of glazing options and certified configurations, please refer to the Aluflam AF91 technical documentation.
